1.Full-Length Mirror Industry to See Structural Growth, Smart Mirrors Emerge as Core Growth Driver

According to an industry report released in October 2025, the market size of China’s full-length mirror industry is expected to grow from RMB 4.37 billion to RMB 6.89 billion between 2025 and 2030, with a CAGR of 9.5%. Among them, smart full-length mirrors are witnessing remarkable growth, with their penetration rate projected to rise from 12% in 2025 to 28% in 2030. Artistic mirrors and smart mirrors are estimated to account for over 35% of the overall home mirror market in 2025. Equipped with functions such as AR virtual try-on and health monitoring, smart mirrors have seen a 20%-30% price increase. Leading enterprises hold over 30% of the market share through automated production lines, while small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) focus on niche scenarios like fitness mirrors and beauty mirrors.

2.Copper-Free & Eco-Friendly Mirror Market Expands Rapidly, Driven by Policy to Boost Penetration

China’s copper-free eco-friendly mirror market is expected to exceed RMB 3.56 billion in 2025, with a CAGR of over 38.2%—far outpacing the traditional mirror market’s growth rate of less than 5%. Mandatory requirements for eco-friendly building materials in high-end finished residential projects have driven up penetration, with the segment accounting for nearly 50% of the market in 2025. The Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regions collectively account for over 68% of national demand, and the application rate in engineering projects in first-tier cities like Shanghai and Shenzhen has exceeded 40%. Export potential is also emerging: the export share is expected to rise to 18% in 2025, as procurement demand from green building markets in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe gradually increases.

3.Smart Mirror Technology Iterates Rapidly, Multi-Scenario Applications Accelerate

In 2025, smart mirror products from leading enterprises have achieved millimeter-wave radar gesture control (recognition accuracy ±2cm) and AR virtual try-on (supporting modeling for over 6,000 SKUs of clothing). Medical-grade mirror products can measure 14 physical signs including body fat percentage and muscle mass, with their penetration rate in fitness studios surging from 12% in 2023 to 39% in 2025. Additionally, nano-coating technology enables mirrors to be fog-free for 72 consecutive hours, driving a 67% annual growth in smart mirror installations in bathroom scenarios. BOE’s 55-inch mirror OLED panel has reduced the daily power consumption of smart mirrors to within 0.35 kWh.

4.Industry Standards Gradually Improved, Environmental Protection and Cybersecurity Become Regulatory Focus

In 2025, the China National Light Industry Council issued the “General Technical Specifications for Smart Mirrors,” which for the first time clarifies cybersecurity requirements for smart mirrors, mandating that the proportion of local data storage shall not be less than 80%. The EU has incorporated mirror products into the scope of RED Directive supervision, with upgraded EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) testing standards, leading to a 15%-20% increase in certification costs for exported products. In terms of environmental protection, lead-free mirror backing coating technology has become widespread. AGC Group of Japan’s eco-friendly silver mirror process has reduced heavy metal content by 97% compared to traditional processes, while leading domestic enterprises have achieved full-chain production with zero heavy metal emissions.

5.Overseas Demand for Smart Mirrors Grows, Design and Functions Become Competitive Focus

In the overseas market, the smart mirror industry was valued at USD 1.8 billion in 2024 and is expected to reach USD 6 billion by 2034, with North America projected to grow at a CAGR of 13.1%. In terms of product design, extra-large size and arch-shaped mirrors have become popular in home decor in 2025. Frame materials such as brass and marble add a luxurious touch, while rattan and wood frames cater to coastal and pastoral styles. Demand for LED bathroom vanity mirrors also continues to rise: search volume increased by 9.49% between June and July, and sales grew by 27% between August and September. However, complex installation has triggered numerous user complaints.
